Coffee Concerts at St. Margaret’s;   October and November

Coffee Concerts are usually held on the fourth Friday of each month,   1.15-2.00 with refreshments served before and after

Friday 18th October:1.15-2.00:   

Diana  Moore:  Songs Mrs Nicholson Taught Me :  A concert to celebrate the life and influence of Patricia Nicholson. 

Pat influenced the lives of generations of local musicians, tirelessly providing support, understanding and encouragement. Locally born mezzo-soprano, Diana Moore, has gone on to develop an international career, with performances at the BBC Proms, Westminster Abbey, Carnegie Hall (New York) and the Concertgebouw (Amsterdam) to name a few. In this free lunchtime concert, as part of the St Margaret’s Coffee Concert series, she celebrates the personal influence Pat had on her life and career, through a collection of some of the songs she opened her eyes and ears to. To include songs by Bach, Brahms, Schubert, Schumann, Faure, traditional folk songs and Mahler.                            With Karen Smith, piano.

Friday 25th October: NO CONCERT because of Pat’s funeral

Our usual monthly Coffee Concert by

Shirley Smith, mezzo soprano and Jonathan Rutherford piano

 

Friday 22nd November: 1.15-2.00

We welcome The Blyth Five – an a capella singing group

 

There will not be a Coffee Concert in December
