Remembrance weekend

November 11th, Remembrance Day, is a Sunday this year. It was on this day 100 years ago that the armistice treaty was signed and the first world war came to an end.

To commemorate this there will be an opportunity to place wooden crosses with poppies on in a specified area of the churchyard or on the Commonwealth War Graves Commission's graves of those who lost their lives serving their country in that war from October onwards. There will also be a special service of Remembrance on the evening of Sunday November 11th at 6pm which will conclude with our bells ringing out as we join in the national bell ring to commemorate the end of the war. More details from September onwards.
