The Choir

The central purpose of music at St. Margaret's is to glorify God. In enhancing the praise, worship and prayer format of the spoken liturgy, the music aims to balance the joyful and uplifting with the contemplative and reflective. Our congregation is led musically each week by an excellent robed choir. In addition to performing settings, psalms, motets and anthems at the Sunday Eucharist, they also sing at Evensong as well as various special services and feast days. With a choral tradition stretching back to 1871, the choir is affiliated to the Royal School of Church Music.

If you are interested in the possibility of joining the choir, pop along one Sunday morning and speak with our Choirmaster & Organist after the 10am Sunday Eucharist Service. He'll be able to have an informal chat with you about your background and singing experience as well as do a voice trial.
